Asiagate is an Asian credit information network set up jointly by the best Asian Credit reporting agencies in each country to provide a one stop centre for credit information for the Asian region. Globalisation, WTO and the pending implementation of AFTA have resulted in the need for local credit agencies in Asian countries to be able to provide credit reports on a regional, if not international basis to cater for the increasing cross border trade and investments.

The specially selected members are all established credit reporting agencies in their respective countries. As a group, Asiagate will provide one of the widest coverage in Asia and will be able to provide the most comprehensive, well researched and up to date credit reports in the region at competitive prices.

With the establishment of Asiagate, companies venturing abroad need only to log on to the local Asiagate’s member’s website and order online credit reports on their clients and suppliers in the Asian region and the reports will be delivered by their local credit reporting agencies within the specific timeframe. The user will be invoiced by the local credit agency. There is no longer any need for the user to contact credit reporting agencies of other countries for the credit reports.

Presently Asiagate provides offline delivery of credit reports. Phase 2 development will provide online delivery. Plans to have more representation in other Asian countries including other services. It is the intention of its founding members to make Asiagate a recognized international Asian grouping in the credit information industry. Asiagate also hopes to create strategic alliances with other big international players globally.
